Speaking of good makeup tips, mascara can really bring out the look you want. Sexy eyes have thick, long lashes, neatly fanned out over the lid. To accomplish this, apply the mascara in several stages, making sure it dries in between. You want them thick – we all do. But the clumpy unnatural look of the past is long gone. So are the raccoon smudges!  Instead, lengthen lashes by closing your eyes and dabbing just a touch of face powder to them first. Then apply your first coat. As it dries, comb the lashes with a eyelash comb to fan them out and remove any clumps. Now come back with the wand again and gently stroke through the upper lashes on the outside and inside of the lash. Just be careful not to stab your eye. Never turn the wand towards your eye. Always stroke with the eyelash curl.  And speaking of curl, you should do that before you apply the first coat of mascara, not afterwards.

Eye makeup tips do not stop with the mascara. A lot of women use eyeliner.  Here are some make up tips eyeliner experts suggest.  You can make your eyes appear a different shape by using liner on the upper or lower lids, or both. Just never apply liner inside the lash line on the lower lid. You can cause infections or irritate your eyes. Always apply under the lower lash.

To make small eyes appear larger, line both the upper and lower lids, making the line thicker in the center and tapering to either end. To lessen the roundness and make eyes look more oval in shape.  Use a dark shade of eyeliner on the outer two thirds of the upper lid and extend it out just a bit beyond the end. Do the same for the lower. The two lines should form a skinny V.  If you want to narrow the space between wider set eyes, use the thicker line from the middle to the inner area of the lid towards the nose on the top lid only.
